Art and Kitsch: a Commercial Vendetta

We all have ‘cash in the attic’ – or at least wish we had. That is why T.V. programmes about what is genuine and what is fake are so popular.

But let us try not to get carried away, and ask ourselves a few questions instead. When is something art, and when is it kitsch? And is the difference between the two always as clear as the T.V. experts want us to believe?
