What is the intent of these stories? Is there a difference between stories from the countryside and the city, like Antwerp ?
Of course we have to talk about Lange Wapper, the Antwerp water devil who is a character in one of the oldest legends.  He has the ability to shapeshift at will and therefore can show many faces.
