Kotie was born in Springs near Johannesburg and studied at the University of Pretoria. As a young man, he lived in Worcester in the Cape Province and in Durban in Natal, so has experience of the attitudes of South Africans in the main provinces. He will deal with these attitudes in his talk.

Apart from the way of life and the attractions of the country, Kotie will answer questions on politics and other issues.
