08.00             Departure of bus from the Crowne Plaza Hotel

09.30              Strépy-Thieu ships lift for a short stop

10.10               Mons.  Walk – Casemate, Notre Dame de Messines, Abatoirs, Grand Rue.

11.00               Coffee and cake at the café Le Royal

11.30               Walk: Grand Place, St. Elizabeth Church, sculpture by Arne Quinze, Town Hall.

12.00               Museum Doudou

12.55               Leave museum for restaurant Le Carillon

13.00               A three course “Onze Streek” lunch has been ordered:

Soup of the day

Pork chop “al’berdouille” (Bergense sauce) with French fries

Pagnon (special local flan)

Including one soft drink or glass of wine or Jupiler with the meal and a coffee after.

14.00               Walk: Grand Place, Hôtel de Graty, castle park, belfry, St. Waltrude church

15.00               Afternoon tea/coffee

15.30               Leave for Mons Memorial Museum

15.45               Visit of Mons Memorial Museum

17.00               Leave MMM on way to Saint Symphorien Military Cemetery

17.15               Visit of Cemetery

17.45               Depart for Antwerp

19.30               Arrive at the Antwerp Crowne Plaza Hotel
